Greetings Educators and Staff:
During my 10 years as a certified classroom teacher (Grades 6-12) and 13 years as an educational technology specialist (Pre-K - 12), I have experienced the rapid evolution of technology integration in the classroom. I remember teaching when floppy discs were actually floppy. I excitedly used DOS to create worksheets on my Apple II computer. I also recall wearing my solid state storage device (e.g. a jump drive at 256 MB Cost: $57.00), which was the best technology available to save my most treasured images and lesson plans. Now, I am able to access my training materials, effortlessly whirling around in a cloud, anytime, anywhere. What do these experiences have to do with me as a qualified instructional technology educator? EVERYTHING.
My experiences prove my willingness to embrace change and my ability to support learners (Pre-K - Adult) in their quest to be successful in the midst of technological advancements. It is my duty to help "grow" lifelong learners. On this website, I provide first hand examples of seamless instructional technology integration within my schools. Additionally and during the school year, I will provide pertinent information for teachers and staff to use as they attempt to foster student achievement in their schools. I am here for our students (our babies)...the future leaders of tomorrow.
If I support your school, please click on a button below to request support or leave feedback. PLEASE provide feedback each time I support your instructional technology endeavor. I look forward to working with each of you this year.
